As an experiment, we at are going to put out english spoken podcasts every month about the Domino’s men’s and women’s leagues. Ideas and improvements to this show are welcomed and we ask that you send them to

In our fifth podcast about the Men’s Premier League 2018-2019, sponsored by Domino’s Pizza, David, Axel and Helgi discuss the last rounds before the Christmas break and how teams are stacked up in the New Year. David explains the “Christmas Curse” of being in the top spot in the standings over the holidays and we go over the standings now that we’re at the halfway point in the season.

Defense is important as the bottom three teams have the worst records and the top team, Tindastóll, is playing amazing defense. Will the relegated teams at the end of this season lose their players? Is the lower division (Men’s 1st Division) no longer a development league? Was it ever one? We talk about what some teams need to do in the New Year to climb the standings and how changes to teams may affect them. Axel celebrates his prediction dominance (10 out of 12 right predictions in the last two rounds!) and we predict the first two rounds after the holiday break and mention some possible surprises. Enjoy.
